Dr. Mary S. Hulst has served as Calvin College Chaplain since 2009 and preaches weekly to its students. Professor Stuart is a scholar of the Old Testament, Assyrian and Babylonian languages and literature, and the cultures of the ancient Near East. Craig S. Keener

Professor of New Testament at Asbury Theological Seminary, Dr. Craig Keener previously taught 15 years as professor of New Testament at Palmer Theological Seminary of Eastern University in Philadelphia, where he also served as Associate Pastor at an African-American Baptist church. J. I. Packer

J.I. Packer became an icon in Christendom after authoring the best-selling “Knowing God” in 1973. Born in England, he was educated at University of Oxford, eventually holding a Doctorate of Philosophy. An ordained Anglican minister, his last teaching position was as the board of governors’ Professor of Theology at Regent College in Vancouver, British Columbia, in which he served from 1996 until his retirement in 2016, and death in 2020. A prolific writer and frequent lecturer‒ Packer was executive editor of Christianity Today, and served as general editor of the English Standard Version (ESV) Bible.
