J. I. Packer

J.I. Packer became an icon in Christendom after authoring the best-selling “Knowing God” in 1973. Born in England, he was educated at University of Oxford, eventually holding a Doctorate of Philosophy. An ordained Anglican minister, his last teaching position was as the board of governors’ Professor of Theology at Regent College in Vancouver, British Columbia, in which he served from 1996 until his retirement in 2016, and death in 2020.
